The house seemed a lot quieter and I can now think back on a very hectic month we’ve just had and reflect on just how well Anne has coped yet again. She really is a rock and gets everyone organised and I have to applaud her efforts,. I know I’m a lucky man. Anne tells me this every day!
We feel a little sad now everyone has gone but it’s our friend Paul’s birthday today and we hoped to see him sometime during the day. Paul had a very distinguished career and appeared before the Queen on several Royal Variety Shows and Command performances. We will have a meal with Paul and Angie later to celebrate Paul’s birthday.
I went into the pool for a long swim reflecting on what has been happening as I swam up one monotonous end of the pool and down the other. It can be boring but on the other hand I must be most thankful for what we have and it saves me going to the leisure centre. I am told it is the most effective exercise there is. With that thought in mind I overcome the boredom and make it a daily routing.
Around 5 pm we went down to the airport at Alicante with our friend Dave. We had some friends to wish a safe journey and the job was duly done. We returned home for a short rest before going to eat in Albir.
