Show Me a Hero


Show Me a Hero is a US 6 part television miniseries directed by Paul Haggis in 2015. The miniseries recounts the true story of Nick Wasicsko, mayor of Yonkers, who during his tenure between the years 80 and 90 found himself pitted against the rest of the city when he tried to impose a federal request for a residential development audience. The miniseries will air on US channel HBO from 16 August 2015 to 30 August of the same year.


Show Me a Hero is the miniseries that on 16th August will bring the narrative style of David Simon , the acclaimed creator of The Wire and Treme on HBO. Based on the book of nonfiction Lisa Belkin, the drama tells the story of Nick Wasicsko played by Star Wars: The Awakening Force Oscar Isaac, the young mayor of a city in the State of New York where the federal court order to build housing units for low-income social strata in white neighborhoods. An effort which has torn the city administration and, ultimately, the same protagonist in the roaring years of great battles for civil rights.

The rest of the cast includes Catherine Keener, Jim Belushi, Terry Kinney, Michael Stahl-David and Winona Ryder . Waiting for the debut on television (six episodes ordered by the network), HBO allows us to give a first look at Show Me a Hero through the trailer.
