Warner Bros TV Sued For Age Discrimination By Veteran 'Big Bang Theory' Crew ... - Deadline
Turns out it’s not all fun, Star Wars games and the Hadron Collider on the blockbuster CBS comedy. A longtime and now-fired 2nd AD on The Big Bang Theory is going after producer Warner Bros Television for kicking him to the curb for hitting the Big Five-O. While not naming any specific monetary damages, Christopher Klausen wants a jury to hear his age-based wrongful-termination case, which also lists dozens of unnamed individuals as defendants.

The suit adds: “As a Second Assistant Director, a major aspect of Mr. Klausen’s job duties involved interacting and working with the actors on a daily basis. This included serving as a liaison to the actors, making sure the actors are prepared for each scene, and putting the actors through wardrobe and makeup. Mr. Klausen noticed that the stars of the show, which are all considerably younger, began to ostracize him after he turned 50.”
He says his duties were turned over to a pair of much-younger staffers and that he eventually was fired over the phone after production wrapped on Season 8 in April. WBTV had no comment on the suit when contacted by Deadline.
The lawsuit follows a couple of similar cases last year in which Disney and then NBCUniversal were hit with legal action over alleged age bias within about two...Source: deadline.com
